Remember that not only were they friends, Allan literally taught Neil how to write a comic book script. Through, from the way I heard Neil tell it made me think they were only loosely acquainted at the time. Neil called him up and said something along the line of "hey, how do you write a comic book script?" Allan said, "oh it's simple," showed him one, and then we got the Black Orchid mini-series.

I think my last non-political / healthcare tweet may have been me complaining about how I keep getting stuck in the McDonald's drive-thru at 4 AM. Their system is always down at that time and they can only accept cash. I never have cash on me and since their are cars in line behind me I'm stuck. I go to Jack in the Box for my breakfast sandwiches on my way home now. You guys just mentioned the Annotated Editions at the end of episode 4 or the begging of episode 5, which I'm still in the middle of. As soon as I got home last night, I cracked open the first annotated volume and read through the first issue. I was actually a little disappointed. When Neil first started talking about doing them, he said he was already starting to forget little details so that's why he wanted to get it all down. I guess I assumed from that statement that we would be getting much more insight from him personally as opposed to it being filtered through another writer. It is also difficult to read white text on glossy black pages without being in a really well-lit room. Looking forward to listening to the rest of these and even some of your other ones.

I just wrote a post about the idea of Cain and Abel in the dreaming coming from Alan Moore in his Swamp Thing run. I deleted It once I saw you already mentioned it. It is the same set-up. Abby has a dream where Abel tells her the mystery that Alec isn’t the first Swamp Thing, but before he can reveal the rest, Cain kills him because that’s a secret.
