I was hoping to listen to a podcast that was excited and happy about a new Star Trek, but all I found was two people complaining about every episode. It just kept getting worse and worse. Are there any good podcasts that are positive about Discovery?

Maybe in the beginning it was upbeat and super fun, but after a while they weren't just applying "critical thinking skills". They were outright whining in a non constructive manner and much like they disliked Ash Tyler's progression, I didn't like theirs.
Thanks for the tired trope of telling me to do a Google search though. Just as the show wasn't perfect, neither was the podcast. So both can be criticized. Don't be such a hypocrite. Bye.
This is a great podcast about Star Trek. They were very upbeat about what Discovery was showing us. Pointing out plot problems and odd writing choices isn’t being “negative”, it’s applying critical thinking skills to piece of entertainment. I find the podcasts super interesting, because of Glen and Valerie’s academic credentials in medieval and ancient literature they pull out great reference and analysis of when the show is referring to literary history. I really enjoy the cocktails they create and the Kiss, Marry, Kill game is fun ending to an episode.
If all you want is slavish praise that has no intelligence behind it but the “feels“ I’m sure there are plenty of podcasts that will fit your requirement, you should run a search in you podcasting app.
