    Disco Future

    in Star Trek

A friend of mine told me an interesting theory yesterday. he wondered whether the Discovery will jump to a time beyond Voyager and thats why we have never heard of any of these characters before? maybe section 31 covers it all up?

I'm all in favor of any kind of Star Trek: Sliders, but can Discovery still spore-jump? I don't remember precisely what Stamets says about the spore drive at the end of the finale, but there's a good chance the drive was removed from the ship. But if it's still on board, then I give it six episodes before the writers can't help but use it again -- it's just too tempting a toy!

Production is scheduled to begin sometime this month, but I don't see any indication that it's begun yet. Still, I'm holding out hope that we'll have episodes on the air in January.
