It's out in thirty minutes! But we are going to be on this one for a long, long time -- what we had mapped out before we started recording was a little more than a year, but we've already added a month to that as we've gotten into it!
So I listened to the episode, it was really interesting! I don't have much to add just for now, but I would like to point out one thing Brandon mentioned about the names (the Venus/Morning star example). You guys are covering Wolfe chronologically, but I know for a fact that that detail comes back over a decade later in Soldier of the Mist with the names of the gods, so I would definitely put a pin in that.
In fact it is really interesting to see all the things that Wolfe novels share, once you notice something it is like it was always there.
@ComicMan Yes, indeed! There are things we saw in Operation Ares, a book that Wolfe disowned, that show up in much of his later work. That's been a huge part of the fun for us.
I leant my copy to a friend, but I am still quite stoked too.
I finished reading it a few weeks ago and am planning to re-read once Glenn and Brandon get started - no pressure, guys.
