It looks like it's OK to post our own work here? I do so because the short work I wrote was aiming for a narrow audience of readers who like weird fiction which aims to be read twice. It might be inscrutable to folks not familiar with stories attempting to approach something like Gene Wolfe's puzzling works, and frankly, I worry it may just be inscrutable at this point due to my amateur writing. This story is far far from the master's works, but if anyone has a chance to give me some feedback, I'll take it happily, critical or otherwise. I just want to improve my craft.

Thanks for sharing this, Jeff. I thought it was quite good. It felt intentionally disjointed, both visually and chronologically, reflecting the state of mind of the character, Paul.
Yes, please share!
I really enjoyed this story. The quibble over the coffee was awesome, and the first indication that we get about something weird going on was jarring in an effective way.
Also: "aiming for a narrow audience of readers who like weird fiction which aims to be read twice. It might be inscrutable to folks not familiar with stories attempting to approach something like Gene Wolfe's puzzling works" is the exact phrasing of every rejection letter I've ever gotten!
